Secondary Classroom

7th - 8th Grade

12 - 15 year olds

The Secondary Montessori classroom witnesses the transition from childhood to adolescence. We continue to build upon the abstract thinking established in Upper Elementary, while giving students practical knowledge and experiences necessary to thrive in adult society. In addition to rigorous academic lessons, we strive to improve students’ athletic, artistic, and linguistic skills through electives. Going-out trips, internships, and numerous field experiences allow students to explore the world outside of our classroom and prepare them not only for high school but for adulthood.  To learn more about the third plane of development, please visit https://montessoritraining.blogspot.com/2007/07/montessori-philosophy-third-plane-of.html.
