Primary Classroom

Preschool – Kindergarten

3 - 6 year olds

The Primary classroom is designed to follow the child’s inclination to absorb knowledge and follow a path of self-discovery. There are four main areas in the pre-school program: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language and Mathematics. Creative Arts, Music, Science, Geography and Cultural Studies are also important parts of the curriculum.

Children in the Primary Classroom learn concepts through the use of concrete materials. North American Montessori Center provides a good definition of Moving from Concrete to Abstract.
